...Kamy competes & talks about his racing career
Kamy Bruder began his racing career in France when he was 11 years old, rapidly sparking the attention of the International Motocross community.
When competing in an amateur event in the United States, for the first time, in December 2002, former Pro, now coach, Stefan Elvin "taped" Kamy to be the first and only French student to "earn a ride" at MX Heaven USA, "It was a dream come true." says Kamy, "...a golden opportunity; the chance to bring my racing here to America and attend college."
After a year spent winning in the intermediate class, long hours training and determination earned him Pro Status in 2005.
A great part of his success comes from the many hours conditioning and discipline "I completely devote myself to what I am doing, and it takes a lot of painful hard work, not only just physically, but mentally as well. I feel really comfortable and am very confident concerning my level of skills so far," says Kamy.
"As a boy growing up in France, my only dream was to come and race in America. There is no easy way out or short cut to excel in this sport or any of life's undertakings. I am honored to be here, and I will prepare myself to do the best I can."
It's only a matter of time 'till Kamy is upfront with the best Pro Class riders.
Kamy Bruder reminds us that it's between the races where life happens, and Kamy's life, diverse as it is, is all about preparation, for the many wondrous challenges that have yet to come.
